Women in Tri UK has been named a finalist in the Charity or Not-For-Profit of the Year category at the British Diversity Awards 2026, recognising the organisation’s work to improve access, representation, and inclusion in endurance sport.
The British Diversity Awards celebrate organisations making meaningful, measurable contributions to equity and social change. Women in Tri UK was shortlisted for its community-led approach to breaking down financial, cultural, and confidence barriers that prevent many women from accessing swimming, cycling, running, and triathlon.
Founded in 2022, Women in Tri UK supports women, particularly those from ethnically diverse, low-income, and underrepresented backgrounds, through inclusive coaching sessions, mentorship, first-time participation support, and sector-wide advocacy. The charity combines grassroots delivery with systemic influence, working with event organisers, partners, and governing bodies to improve standards and representation across the sport.
Chair and Co-Founder Bianca Fernandez-Clark said: “This recognition reflects the collective effort behind Women in Tri UK. It belongs to our community, volunteers, partners, and donors who have helped create spaces where women feel safe, welcome, and supported to participate and lead. Inclusion in sport does not happen by accident, it takes sustained, intentional work.”
The awards ceremony will take place on Wednesday 25 March 2026 at the JW Marriott Grosvenor House, London.
